Dutchess Community College Mens Soccer

Jim Purdy is in his inaugural season as Head Coach of the Dutchess Community College Mens Soccer team. Coach Purdy has nearly a quarter century of coaching experience as a youth soccer coach in the Mid-Hudson region.

 
Coach Purdy is a founder of the East Hudson Academy League Select Program and served as its Director for the past six years. He has been a Head Coach for eleven years in the Academy program on both the Boys and Girls sides. He has coached six league champions,was named East Hudson Coach of the Year in 2005 and inducted into the leagues Hall of Fame in 2009.He holds both a USSF National License and NSCAA National Diploma.

 
Coach Purdy holds a Masters Degree in Education from Long Island University and a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Mercy College.He recently retired as Deputy Superintendent at Sing Sing Correctional Facility after a thirty three year career in law enforcement.
